YABC has a new spice of life during dinner break.? The half hour break could be tedious at times to say the least.? Students were looking for something to bring life to the nighttime break. The answer came in the form of screaming students rocking out to Guitar Hero. After consulting with Mr. Smallhorne, Mr. Cerini came up with the idea of bringing the interactive video game to dinner break. When asked why he thought this was a good idea, Mr. Cerini said ?The students in the night school program here at Lehman?s YABC miss out on a lot of the action that happens during the day. I wanted to show them a good time and remind them that school can be fun too.? I asked Mr. Cerini why he chose Guitar Hero of all the games available, he quickly responded ? The benefit of this game is the cool use of the guitars, and the fact that someone can sing along too. It really brings the room to life when you have 3 or 4 people playing the game, listening to music and hanging out with friends at the same time. My real hope here is to create a sense of community and a sort of kinship between the students at YABC.?
